When you look at at a luxury-end sports car, something that is particularly noticeable is how the wheels come right up towards the top and sides of the wheel arch, showing off a chic, powerful appearance.
In order to get this look, vehicle modifiers use wheel spacers, with those designed byH&Rbeing some of the very best you can get.H&R TRAK+wheel spacers actually shift the tyre further out from the hub, giving that strikingly plush appeal, whilst providing substantial boosts in performance without compromising safety. In order to achieve the exact look you desire for your vehicle,H&R TRAK+behaves as an extension of the hub, guaranteeing the perfect fit every time.
H&R has always believed that to get the best performance you need outstanding quality materials. It's for this reason that allH&R componentsuse the finest materials and most stringent manufacturing processes and testing.H&Ruses a high strength lightweight aluminium and magnesium alloy in making their wheel spacers which provides ultimate durability and strength, without increasing the weight of the vehicle. So that the most can be made of these top-grade materials,H&Rbuilds every part using their own expert engineers at their facility in Germany. All wheel spacers go through an anodizing process, which offers superior surface hardness. This is crucial for parts which are constantly being pressed against other parts which are constantly moving, as well as being highly corrosion resistant. 3D CNC machining makes sure that each and every wheel spacer fits exactly into your vehicle, regardless of the make or model.
• H&R uses only the very best materials
• Wheels Spacers are anodized for an extra tough surface and no tarnishing
• H&R Wheel Spacers are extremely strong due to the use of lightweight aluminium and magnesium alloy
• CNC machining means wheel spacers are always the exact size required
In order to measure your wheel gap properly, you'll need a couple of simple tools
• Measuring device with units in millimetres
• Straight metre stick or similar
• Put a straight edge flush up against the face of the wheel and tyre combination. Make sure that the straight edge touches the tyre in two spots so that the straight edge remains even with the tyre.
• Hold the measuring stick or tape from the straight edge (inside) to the inner part of the fender lip to find the measurement.(see diagram)
Double check that the measurement is read at the point where the wheel and tyre is closest to the fender. For example, on a vehicle with a substantial amount of negative camber, the wheel and tyre could be closest at the front or back edge of the fender. Some H&R Wheel Spacers come with longer wheel bolts but unfortunately many of them require you to order longer wheel bolts/nuts separately.
During the last few years of the 1970s, keen German motoring engineers Werner Heine and Heinze Remmen had started to realise that suspension was merely an afterthought during a car’s design process.
They noted its lack of priority, resulting in the majority of cars on the road suffering poorly built, restrictive suspension systems, and they knew something had to be done about it.
Using their many years of professional and personal experience between them, Herr Heine and Herr Remmen set about creating suspension springs that would offer drivers superior handling and enhanced control on the road. They strongly advocated the idea that car journeys are not just about making it from A to B, but are also about enjoying the ride and being comfortable.
The designers then combined their knowledge and started manufacturing their own unique suspension springs, with the sole aim of showcasing to the motoring world how excellent suspension springs could transform the appearance and ride of motor vehicles. Over time, they continued developing and refining their suspension components according to their own exacting standards, pulling in plenty of interest from the rest of the motor manufacturing world as they went.
Eventually, the work of the enterprising pair won highly sought-after TUV certification - the German hallmark of excellence in engineering. Alongside this outstanding recognition came the dawning of a new age in the European Performance Spring market, with H&R leading from the front.
The high standards and intricate detailing of Herr Heine and Herr Remmen’s suspension systems became a central part of H&R which continues to be the case today. Since the beginning, H&R has focussed all its efforts on being leaders in the field and producing top class motor suspension is at the heart of everything they do.
